mr. clean auto dry.
I also "tried" the Mr. Clean auto dry system on my 04 ABP. I sat there for about 5 minutes waiting for the car to auto-dry. I couldn't stand it. I had to grab the towel and dry it myself.
I may go back at it this weekend and try to exercise more patience.
I'm amazed at how much crud is left on a car after a rinse with tap (hose) water is left to air dry. But I am even more amazed at how filthy my car looks after it rains. Wouldn't it be nice if it rained clean water.

I've been using this for my past couple of washes, not on a TL though. It works decently well, if you are not too picky. One annoying aspect is that it makes the sponge very black. Not sure if it is from the soap doing a good job or if it just attracting grime and not letting go of it.

But the reason I don't use it now on my TL is because I read somewhere that it's not good to use it if your gonna wax your car afterwards.
It works though.

Mr. Clean Works
I tried Mr. Clean and the first time I could not stand around and wait for the car to air dry. I took it on the freeway and when I got home, there were no spots. I live in an area where the water is very hard (alot of spots). I have since used Mr. Clean two more times with great success (and no freeway). I do wash it early morning (7:00am) in complete shade. I will continue to use it.

Mr. Clean uses what they call a dry rinse polymer that stays behind on your finish - it's what helps facilitate that drying along wtih the filter - You can buy a water filter at a motor home store that will filter the water much better and last a lot longer (depending on how hard your water is - the filter can last as little as three washes - mine made it to 2.5
). It's a great tool for washing since you can store the soap in the gun and skip buckest but I don't use their soap any more (yup I voided my warranty!) and skip the filter rinse and just dry the car with a waffel weave Micro Fiber towel that drinks up the water like a camel.

It worked for me, (black TL) if you are patient enough to wait for it to dry. Also it didn't seem to work as weel on the windows as it did on the metal. Like others I thought it was really expensive, went through the soap and dryer filter really fast.
