Micro marring from claying

How can I reduce my chances of micro marring when claying ? Using OTC product from Meguiars at this time and I do not own a Porter Cable for polishing.

Don't try to clay off things like road tar as it contains sand etc. Keed the clay a lot. Use lots of lube. Don't scrub.. let the clay do the work. Clay in straight lines not circular.

I cut my bars in 1/3rds and use just a portion at a time.

Less aggressive clays are better suited for Honda's softer clear. Maybe try a less aggressive clay, and ditch the Megs.
