Making my car smell nice

What do you recommend? THe only thing I tried is Febreeze Auto and it was ok but the smell didn't last long so I had to keep spraying it and went through the bottle pretty fast. Another problem I found with it was that I either sprayed too much and the smell was too strong, or I didn't spray enough and couldn't smell anything, I found it difficult to figure out how much to use.

you know what I find really pleasant? Meguiars leather conditioner. The paste kind not those shitty wipes. Always has a nice smell. Though that is just my preference.

Nothing about squash screams good car smell to me, I grabbed some of those silicone scent things you stick in your vents from walmart, and have had them in my CL for a year and still smells good whenever i pop in to it

It doesn't smell like squash or anything even remotely close to it it's just the name (blame the Japanese)

You could always soak a couple of cotton balls in OID and put them in your nose.

I just got mine, so we'll see how long it last. Did you poke holes in it or open it all the way when you first put it in your car?

be careful with the air fresheners! Most of them can damage plastics and cause a whole world of troubles! I just use some Febreeze spray under the floor-mats and that works very well to keep the smell in for about a week.

Interesting, I wonder if there are specific brands that prompted this and if so what kind of "damage" are we talking about.

Yeah I poked holes in it...I was told to poke like 6-8 holes.

Maybe I need to remove the foil cover.

First week...crazy intense dehydrated peach flavor....!

So strong you could almost taste it...but then fizzed out after a couple of more weeks.

Mines has lasted me almost 3 months and going... it's kinda hard to smell it now though. When I open the doors I still get a whiff of squash.
I've started to make bigger cuts and it seems to work.

I'll try ripping it at some more...and see if I can revive it.

I was a bit disappointed because I heard such great reviews.

When the smell goes away...you just keep poking more holes?

That makes sense to me.

Thanks for posting the pic for reference.

I'll stab a few more holes in it on my work break...lol

yup yup, don't over do it though. I used a fork and stabbed it twice, and i could smell the squash again!!

When I buy my next one, i', only going to poke 2 holes.... maybe that will keep it alive longer

The long gashes are new, from my fingernail. Gash it once, wait a day, if theres no smell, gash again... repeat the process until you can smell it when you enter!

Well I got the cs-x3 squash... Not impressed. The way some people are talking about it as if it's some amazing smell, but it just smells like bubble gum. I coulda just chewed some bubble gum and spit it out in my car and acheived the same result. I guess I gotta keep looking for something that smells good...

Yeah from the way people talk about them, you'd think it's the greatest car scent ever!

I agree to an extent.

I wish there was a place around here with samples you can't ever really take the Internets word on something like a scent.
