leather cracks

I'm starting to get worried about my leather. There is a slight crack about two inches long on the side of my driver seat and I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions on how I can prevent the crack from cracking even further or prevent other future cracks. I try to condition the leather at least once every two to three weeks. If anyone can help I would be so grateful.

did it crack even though you were conditioning the leather or did you just start conditioning it after it started cracking?

how old is your car?

there is probably nothing you can do about the crack, however you can start preventive maintenance on your leather. You can do this the way you see fit, but what I do ( and have done ever since my car was 3 month old ) is clean and condition my leather every 3 months. I use Lexol. I (personally) would not recommend any cleaner/conditioner solution. I get the two seperate. And every time you clean your leather make sure you condition it to restore the softness. This will prevent future cracking ( to a degree ). All leather wears over time. So far I've had my car for 2 years and the leather looks good still. Oh, I bet that cracking is occuring on the driver side seat along the left seat cushion support. That area takes a beating when you get in and out of your car. Try to scoot over to the middle of your seat. Most people are off to the left of the driver seat when they get into their cars (just something you don't think about). This also causes untimely wear and tear of that left seat cushion support. LOL

Anyone use Zymol Leather Conditioner? A guy at work swears by it, says he has used it on his 98 Lincoln's leather seats and he has had no cracking at all....
