leather care

Hello all. I'm just wondering what products you use for leather care and your opinions and thoughts on the products. Thanks.

I use something else, but from what I have heard Lexol is one of the best. I used Mequiers NXT product they have on my interior yesterday, looks good inside.

I use Griots Garage Leather care. Its great,it doesnt clog up the perforations and you can just apply it with your hands. It actually smells like leather and keeps it very supple and is not at all greasy. I'm used to it by now but whenever people get into my car they always ask me if the car is new because the leather looks new and smells (i guess) like new leather.

I use Mequires. There's a few different styles...I'd have to look into exactly what I have. My main objective was to use something that left the leather with a dull finish like it had when new. I hate shiny leather.

Does it leave a shine behind on the leather, or does it leave it with a dull finish?

I used the Meguairs cleaner/conditioner and I swear it made the driver seat leather worse looking. I know a lot of it is wear, but it seemed to fill in the holes and kind of flatten the leather. The driver's seat looks a lot worse and worn than the passenger seat and after just one year. I'm wondering if the liguid cleaner made it worse. I didn't use a lot.

I've had this problem with some of the thicker leather conditioners out there - meguiar's gold class leather conditioner being one of them. It actually dried in the leather perforations, and I had to use a small needle to clean several hundred holes out.

I have a spray that I'm using now, I believe it's Meguiar's but I can't remember at the moment. It seems to do an ok job, but not as good as some previous conditioners I've used.

Nope, not shiny at all. Think "matte" finish. LOL. I saw my friends dad car and they used something on the leather, I swear I could see my reflection in the seats.

I wouldn't go with the wipes. I like to soak the hell out of my seats with lexol and let it sit for a while...there usually isn't enough of the actual product in wipes to get the job done. Same for tire wipes, armor all wipes etc. You pay a lot for it and its just a tissue soaked in whatever liquid.

It is difficult to control the application quantity with the wipes - they hold very little liquid compared to a sponge or terry towel... Also, the wipes cost more

Cheers!

do you guys put the spray on with a sponge, cloth or your fingers like some have suggested to do??? I got the wipes because I did not want to spray directly on my seats and also did not want to get the liquidcause I have peforations in my seats and don't want the conditioner to dry while in the little wholes.... any help...
