Kitwax.com... "Scratch Out"

guys what is your experience with "kit" products...

a buddy that works at my jobs parking lot was like dude whats up with all the overspray on your front bumper... I replied, well I kinda oversprayed my bumper when I attempted to paint my grill.... so he says I've got something that works magic... so he pulls out a bottle of scratch out... I am like wth is this, is it like rubbing compound... and he's like no is like crack for overspray makes it come right off...

AND WHAT DO YOU KNOW.... IT IS ALL GONE....

anyone use this stuff before, I mean I am about to buff the entire car with this stuff, my front is smashing now... aside form nyc rock chipz ....

I would definitely want this for my NBP. I have Meguiar's Scratch-X but that stuff doesn't do a damn thing.

Thier paste wax has been around for years. It came out and tried to gibe Turtle Wax a run for thier money and didn't make it.

I doubt it will remove swirling but will more fill it. Its tought to remobe swirling sometimes even with a buffer never mind by hand.

A lot of DIY paint can be lifted by the cleaners in some of the OTC waxes.

Here is your first clue on the product.. "Contains #1 grade Brazilian Carnauba Wax - the world's hardest natural wax - that shines up to 12 months". Its a pretty broad statement .. the higher the carnuba content usually the shorter the life. and shine doesn't mean protection.
". Chewing gum contains Carauba wax too.

For what it's worth, I personally like "Scratch Out" by Kit MUCH better than Meguiars Scratch X. I've had good success with "Scratch Out." In fact, I just recently purchased another bottle of it. I would recommend giving this stuff a shot. It does pretty good with removing swirls (minor), surface scratches, and it works great on oxidized plastic parts.

If its just hding the surace ones its pretty well a waste of time because the fillers aren't permanent and a couple washes and they are gone .

You also might want to change your washing/drying protocol to eliminate or reduce what caused the marring.

WalMart up here might not have it .. the Can.US stores don't carry identical lines .
