just washed/waxed

Hey detail fanatics of azine quick question...i recently washed, clayed, compound, and waxed my car and wow does it look good after its finished. then couple of days later we...( in MA with hurricane Earl) dropped rain on us and now afterwards looking at my TL in the sun it has dust spots/ some water spots on it and it seems that all my hard work has just washed away

- i have NBP and was wondering if its okay i should use some quick detailer + quick wax and buff off the water spots and dust??

I'll defer to the pros, but I think I introduced some major swirls into my wifes NBP Accord by doing this when it was new.

I would do another wash first.

I just personally dont like using only a qwik detailer only

I do a ONR wash and follow with PB spray and wipe. NBP paint shows defects easily

Wash it. Using QD on anything beyond a light dusting is a signed, sealed, delivered invitation for swirls.

No. So long as you use a properly formulated car wash soap, the wax should stay on and give you a good month or two's protection.

depending on what kind of wax you use will determine how long, or how many washes you can get before you wash it off...

what do you mean when you say you compounded the car??? did you use a d/a polisher or did you do it by hand...

let me just say im a beginninger at detailing...so i completely forgot that for the compound stage you have to go in a circular motion or easier with a buffer etc. so after i already applied it on my hood (btw it came out HAWT!) had to do it by hand. and let me tell what a work out! never again tho haha. and i used otc Meguiars NXT paste wax...
