NYREP1-

waxtest.com site made me laugh with their Zaino comments. I guess time will tell what THEY think is the best! I already know the answer!

Supposedly someone tracked down those website people and actually threatened them and their family for some of their comments about their initial polish/wax comments??? Very strange indeed! Got this info from the NO Zaino posts topic in Edmunds Town Hall!

Zymol

I have used Zymol on my CL for a year now, and it has done a wonderful job. I was reading up on waxing and I was surprised to find out that after waxing the car, you wanna spary a thin coat of cool water over your car and wipe it down, that will inhance the durability and shine.

Tire shine Q for fastdriver

Hi - saw your pics at yahoo and the shine is superb - what are you using for tire dressing? They have a kind of semi-gloss look that I like.
Thanks

Thanks. The shine is courtesy of ZAINO and the tire "sheen" is also Zaino!

That my boy is called in the military world, a spit shine. This is one of the techniques used by troops to highly shine their boots when they wax them.

Another trick is to use "Edge Shaving Gel" after you buff the wax off your project. You put a small dab of Edge on a slightly damp clean cotton towel, then slowly use small strokes to blend the gel into the wax, it leaves a nasty gloss on the wax after you finally buff it out, and when you get really goos at it, it looks dynamite! It also makes the wax last longer in the hot sun, as this method was tested in the desert of West Texas and Kuwait.

Either you've never used Zymol, or you've never looked at the back of the bottle. Taken from the back of the bottle of zymol Auto Polish roughly half way down in the instructions:
"For maximum gloss and shine, lightly spray cool, clean water onto freshly polished finish and buff with a soft, clean cloth. A light spray of water will "set" and level the natural ingredients for a more brilliant, even shine."
I use to do this with an orbital buffer after each/every coat of zymol, but I gotta tell you -- I used to swear by zymol, but after using Liquid Glass on the M3 for the first time, I'll never go back. And after using ZAINO, doubt I'll ever use the LQ again.

Re: Zymol

Zymol makes a great soap, no residue or water spots after what was just water from the household hose. I had wiped with a beach towel. In Calgary there's a bylaw against washing your car, something to do with the amount of soap being washed down the sewer. Since then I've been using spot free rinses at the U-Wash bays.
