Interior maintenance

This is my first time taking care of a car with a leather interior. Today I used Meguiar's Gold Class leather cleaner and conditioner on the leather parts and Vinylex on the vinyl areas.

Both chemicals made the interior (ebony) shiny so after letting the chemicals dry a little, I wiped them with a dry microfiber cloth. Still, some parts were a bit shiny.

Now I just have a couple questions. Will the seats return to their original matte finish in a couple days or so? The seats are kind of slippery. Will this effect be gone in time? I noticed the dash was kind of spotted, with areas of black and lighter black. Will they disappear after a while or do I need to something to get it back to normal?

Thanks.

The seats will get dull again very soon. Well, aslong as they are sat in. I don't know about the dash I would assume you will need to reapply the vinylex evenly on the dash.

Can't speak to the vinyl (or about it ). But I used Meg's rich wipes and got some shine. It went away in about 12 hours.

Thanks guys.

Would diluting the Vinylex and Meguiar's with water make them have less shine, but give almost the same protection?

I heard that 303 Aerospace Protectant is good for both vinyl and leather. Would I need to use some kind of cleaner before the 303 (since they call it only protectant) or could I just wipe with water to clean?

I really haven't noticed my leather getting all that dirty. I use the Zaino cleaner every once in a while, but mostly I just use whichever protectant has my favor at the moment. (Today Vinylex, I felt like having that shine!)

Oh and one more question

I used Meguiar's for the preforated part of the steering wheel and Vinylex for the non-preforated part (just the outside circle, not around the Acura symbol). It's pretty shiny and slippery, so I was wondering ... what can I use to bring it back to normal?

I used the Meguiars rich gold class wipes as well and they worked great. I only used them on the perforated leather, and left the vinyl alone. It looks like an almost two tone effect, with the leather being darker, looks real good.

For the dash - armor all protectant wipes work very well. Just be sure and wipe immediately with a dry cloth to get rid of most of the shine.

And dont get any on the plastic.
