Interior/Exterior products.

Here is something simple. Just copy and paste, and fill out what brand (ArmorAll, Meguiars, etc.) and what type (spray, liquid, wipes, etc.) of product you use for the listed areas. Feel free to add any new areas that I may have left out. Also, feel free to add in concerns/opinions/recommendations of what other people use.

It can server as a quick reference for people.

Interiors

I've always hesitated when cleaning the leather interior with the seats using armorall or similiar product. Doesn't it leave some kind of residue on your clothes, looking oily or something to that effect?

Lexol products don't leave a residue like Armor All and Meguiars products do.

How do the three synthetic exterior protectants you have used stack up against each other? Which do you prefer?

Exterior Protectant: Z2 or Z5 / Klasse AIO/SG / S100 / NXT

NXT has the quick detail too? I stocked up on the original quick detail mist cause I did not think there was an NXT version - where did you get the NXT QD?

This is a link to a meguiars canada page that has all four of the NXT gen. products. My Bad on the QuickDetail NXT gen spray.. I confused the NXT Spray Wax with a non-existant NXT Quick Detail... sorry for any confusion. They have a "NXT generation Protectant" that sounded like a quick detail. I thought there was a wash , wax, spray wax and quick detail.. However it looks like it is a wash - wax - a spray wax and a spray rubber and vinal cleaner.. Wierd...I figured they would go for a NXT Quick Detail.

VTECHokie,
In order of preference (1 most prefered)
1) Z2 or Z5
2) Klasse AIO/SG
3) NXT

Zaino and Klasse are both great products. Pros of Zaino (at least for me) is the durability. I did a Zaino overhaul in September of last year and didn't see any sign of it fading until after 6 months. Went through a brutal Northeast winter with just washing every couple of weeks or so (or at least when the water wouldn't freeze). Con of Zaino is mixing ZFX or using Z1. Klasse is more straight forward, doesn't seem to be as "picky" as what it bonds to.

Klasse is also great for durability. I haven't done a winter test on the TL with it, but I did a beige benz last fall about the same time. It seemed to start fading after 4 months, however, I didn't keep that car as well (not enough washing/QDing).

Prep was the same for both cars (wash, clay, wash, polish/clean, then AIO/SG or Zaino)

NXT, shine, warmth, depth, wettness, slickness is there, but I don't think is as durable. I think if I let it go through my normal routine, I'll have to reapply in 2 months. I just did my hood on Thursday, washed this afternoon and the slickness came down already. Still playing around with NXT.

I'd ramble on more, but gotta run. HTH
