I Ordered Some Zaino Care Products

Ordered their polish (for clear coat paints, of course), their claybar and the scratch/swirl mark polishing solution. Total came to be $52.80 with shipping...how long does it take to get here? I have a three day weekend coming up.

Dude, you screwed up.

First off Z2 + Z5 + Clay bar + shipping is $53.80

Second, you didn't order Z1 or ZFX so the Z2/Z5 won't bond to your car.

Better call Sal and tell him what happened. Maybe he can work something out with you.

wow - keen eye nsxnext . . . .

if Sal cant work it out with the way things happen - be sure to ask him for a name of the nearest local guy - you can pick up the extra stuff from him

Do I really need all that stuff? I'm not terribly anal, I imagine it will stick to the car reasonably well as is.

Will either Z1 or ZFX work? Or do I need both? I can probably send out another order form today, just one day behind.

Eh, last post. I'm tempted to just get the Z1, it's about half the price of the ZFX...does it make a difference?

If you're only putting one coat on at a time, and you don't mind letting your car sit for a while while it cures, get Z1.

Otherwise get ZFX

Fanatic - from what you say about yourself - the Z1 will suit your purposes -

nsxnext is absolutely right

zfx is just going to let you put on more than one coat per day
there are a couple of other small benefits - but if you dont think u will ever put more than on eper day on the car - get the Z1

Okay...I'm calling Sal today to see if I can include the Z1 with it. I can apply coats over a couple days, or just one thick coat.

Question on the claybar: When using it, do I need to use water as lubrication, or soap and water?

ure killin us here

no thick coats - they dont help - in fact, you wont be a happy camper

once you have applied the z1 thin thin coat - do NOT wipe it off
apply your very very thin coat of z2 or z5 right over the z1 coat

let them dry . .. swipe with your finger, did it all come off, or is it a little smeary - if smeary, let it dry more - test again . 3

when wiped off - if you got the z6 gloss spray - do a quick coat - again - apply sparingly . . .

now - you dont have to use the z1 again for about 6 months - or on the 10th coat (if you get that many on in less thna 6 months) the Z1 serves the purpose of bonding the top polish to the car - thats why every 10 coats or 6 months - you do the z1 again -

hope that helps . ..

p.s. have i sent you my guide for new users ?

start here - www.zainobros.com

make sure it is for you - (I dont know why it wouldnt be, but hey - you never know)

you can order from the factory - or often there is a local distributor in your state . . .

ask sal@zainobros.com for the name of the closest dist to you, if you want.

no prob.

i said that, well - because since I am a distributor, i dont want everything i say to come off as an ad for Zaino.

the reality is - there are lots of products on the market. using Zaino requires that you care about your finish - and to get premium results - are prepared to invest some money and some time to get them. once the start-up is over, it is a very simple maintenance program to keep the shine and protection working for you . . .

some people like a single step - one bottle and a rag, then im done system . . . (shuddering violently as i typed that one)

Hey, in my opinion - zaino can be for everyone - but doesnt have to be . .. just trying to be fair. I like coming here, and sont want to abuse the priveledge . . .

Im planing on getting zaino has soon has my current stuff runs out, but im not sure what you ment by the above. Maybe you can help me out.

I live in Florida and there are clouds of lovebugs that get on my car and I wanted something to shine like a mirror, protect my car, and help keep the dust from sticking to it the day after i wash it

I love my car and Im willing to spend has much time as necessary and a moderate amount of money to keep it protected and shiny.
will the zaino achieve my goals with out having to redo it every week?

thanks

Read the statement Homer2 posted right above yours.

I know what you mean about the lovebugs. Luckily, they weren't very prominent this year, and the fact I drive local everywhere helped too.

Not sure if they will achieve your goals, because they weren't very descriptive, but...Most likely they will, I have 6 coats of Zaino on right now, and it is looking wonderful. A little California Car Duster and some Z6 now and then also helps a lot with keeping it dust free. Here are some pics for your enjoyment:

Good luck!
