I need Help!!!!!

I juat got a used 04 Silver Satin Metallic with quartz interior. I need help on what to use to clean/detail my car. I don't know anything about all of this detailing stuff and this is my first car. Can you please help me out with maybe with a list of stuff i should buy for interior and exterior. Plus I have already checked all other threads, but haven't got a clue on what to do or what they are talking about.

OTC or online?
I love the Mothers Reflections stuff for OTC....Im not sure it can be beat.....
Online? A whole different world.......
Are you detailing the paint by hand or with a Orbital Polisher? How "detailed" do you want to get...some of us are sick individuals you know, and get quite carried away with rituals......

As ED sated, it makes a difference if you are purchasing OTC or online. There are numerous manufacturers of products and the price ranges will vary. Do some research as to what each product does specifically. I threw some common names and are either OTC (designated with *) or on-line. Some of the brands mentioned in threads; Mothers, Meguiars, Poorboys World (PB), Four Star, Lexol, Klasse, Zaino, Optimum, Pinnacle, Stoners, Wolfgang, Sonus, 3M and Sonus. That said, I'll start off with some items and everyone can just fill in. Hopefully this turns out. One note, please read the Acurazine Car Care FAQ.

For the interior you would possibly need and not in any particular order:
1. Protectant (Aerospace 303*, Vinylex*)
2. Leather cleaner and conditioner (Lexol*, Four Star, Poorboys, Zaino)
3. Window cleaner (Stoners*)
4.

For the exterior you would possibly need and not in any particular order:
1. Car Wash (Megs*, Mothers*, whateva)
2. Sheepskin/Cheniile/MF washing mitt
3. Drying towels preferably MF Waffle Weave
4. MF Polishing towels
5. Clay Bars (Megs*, Mothers*, Clay Magic*, Four Star, Optimum)
6. Polish/Sealant/Wax Applicators MF/Foam
7. Wheel and Tire brushes (Megs, OXO)
8. Cleaning products - wheel, tires
9. Tire/Trim Dressings
10. Polish/Pre Wax cleaners (Mothers*, Megs*, Optimum, PB)
11. Sealant/Waxes (Mothers*, Megs*, Four Star, PB, S100, P21S)
12.

Goto www.properautocare.com

Navigate the site and you will find more information than you can handle.

I have used them several times and recommend them.
