I was bored today...

I was bored today so I detailed my CL for at least 5hrs.

I started with a wash of course, then used some scratch X remover in some places. Next I put on a layer of meguires deep crystal polish. Then a layer of NXT wax. ALl by hand

I am loving the way its looking. This is the first time I have ever put polish on a car . Im amazed at what a difference it makes.

I was getting dark by the time I finished up so I only have a few shots in the garage. Hopefully I can snap a few shots outside tomorrow before the rain comes.

your paint looks great...all being done by hand also looks to have brought you some very good results...I think the polish is where I messed up my car...went from scratch x straight to nxt 2.0...looks like its time for a dawn wash...LOL

Thanks for the comments guys

While I was taking the pictures yesterday morning I hear a guy yell over to me from a neighbors rear porch.

Him: Its an amazing thing
Me: Whats that?
Him: A man and his machine, then gives me a thumbs up.

We then talked for a while and found out he has an 02 TL-S

I have never wet sanded my car, I would be way too afraid

How you see it is how it came to me, I have tried to keep it as clean as possible over the last 5+ years. It has never seen salt or snow since it stay under a cover in the garage over the winter months. I do have some swirl marks here and there that I would like to fix, but I have no experience using any type of buffer/polisher. I want to find a beater to learn on first.

no need to get a beater to learn on....a udm or pc is the easiest way to jump into machine polishing....there is just about zero learning curve...just pick it up and go to town....you cant hurt your paint with it....a word on meguiars deep crystal polish....its not really a polish, its more of a filler....polish it to be worked into the paint breaking down as you work...its like sanding...so you dont really put a layer down....

the car looks great, but i think you can get better results if you jump into the maching world, plus its faster then doing it by hand....you can get a pc for 100 bucks....
