Hello -

My 2005 Acura TL runs like a champ but is starting to show it's age...

Certain panels on the car are starting to have dull paint even after a car wash. I had a full detail done about 6 months ago but even after that this panel never really shined like the rest of the car.

Any recommendation on what to try? It doesn't necessarily feel rough but I don't think they used a clay bar as part of the full detail?

In this picture you can see how the trunk shines after a wash but the rear quarter panel looks... dull?

That’s failing clear coat.
The only thing to do to “fix” That is to re-clear

Any product you recommend for at home use or does this require taking it to a shop?

Answering my own question hoping that this helps someone else: I got the paint looking almost PERFECT again with a combo of a clay bar (not sure how much this helped but started with it...) and then used a product from Chemical Guys call VSS. I applied it by hand in about 10 minutes to the quarter panel... now I have the reverse problem where my quarter panel paint looks better than the rest of the car so I really should clay bar + VSS the whole thing

Let us know here what happens if you do the whole car, and especially, how long this treatment keeps that quarter panel looking good!
