How to remove scratches on windshield

I'm sure someone has experienced this at some point. I have a scratch on my windshield caused by one of my wipers. The wipers been replaced as a precaution but is it possible to remove the scratch other than replacing the windshield itself?

If it's a scratch you can feel with your finger nail, no product that I am aware of will fix it. If it's more of an etching, this worked for me. I had really bad wiper marks.

Thanks! I'll have to give this a shot. I just can't stand a windshield with wiper scratches. It's annoying to me. But I think it may be the one I can feel with my fingernail, I'll check tonight when I get off from work.

you'll need a DA to do the job and it can take a while for the product to work.

It is possible for a glass pro to buff scratches out with a polishing stone on a buffer and on a windshield it is more likely to remove them easier due to the windshield being a laminate glass rather than tempered like the side windows of most cars...I did however have a glass pro buff out my two front windows even though they are tempered and he removed the scratches that I had....laminate is a softer glass than tempered for obvious reasons the windshield needs to absorb more impacts from road debris and such...if it was tempered it would shatter on most impacts even from the sightest stones or pebbles so I'm sure whatever scratches you may have on a windshield could be tackled by a pro in the glass industry...like buffing paint the buffer can not get too hot or the glass will shatter...seek out a profesional!!!
