Depends on what you use, how often you wash the car, where you store your car, etc.

If you have a sealant underneath the carnauba wax, your clearcoat will be protected thru the winter with minor touch ups of either WAUD or QD. Carnauba washes off after several car washes or snowfalls. The salt dust from the road will take the carnauba right off, but the sealant will stay intact. The shine might diminish a bit until your next coat of Carnauba.

Pretty much you waxing routine will be down the drain during winter if your garage is not heated. And Carnauba is not good to apply when it's not soft, it may just scratch your clearcoat.

I never worry about waxing anymore after I saw what protection Klasse provides (I'm sure other sealants like Zaino and Meg's is the same thing). The shine is "amplified" with 2 coats of S100 (P21S) but I know that the wax will only be there for a few weeks.

There are a few days of above zero Celsius in Toronto over the next week, you can still apply a sealant before it completely freezes over.

If you've used a sealant, it should last 3 months but there are many variables as stated by others like how many times you wash, where it is parked, etc.

You should also use an instant detailer after every wash in the winter and the high quality ones have some sealant in it so that you can prolong your protection on the car.

If you've removed or had someone removed the swirls from you car, you should only wax once a month or as needed. The bigger picture is keeping the swirls off the car. You should actually pay more attention to what you wash your car with. Use car wash soap with a microfiber mitt and dry with a microfiber towel.

I concur with MikeDD. Use Meguiar's Quik Detailer or if you can find the professional one- Meg's Final Inspection #34. Crappy Tire has these. QD has a bit more gloss but doesn't last as long as #34. Eagle One Wax as U dry once in a while (containes diluted Carnauba).
Sometimes it's cheaper to get these from Zellers or Wal-Mart, CT has them a buck or two more. Just a suggestion.

Where in T.O. are you located?

I dont think its ever been mentioned as to what you have used. Sealants such as Klasse will get you three months, Blackfire and Fourstar/Platinum may get you two, but as said, a lot may be said for initial application processes and maintenance practices. NXT may get you one month, but if you use the Booster, that can be extended significantly (but its a pain in my opinion).
