How much for a detail?

I'm having my friend detail my NBP for me.

He wants $150 for about 5 hours of work... does that sound about right?

Have you seen his work before? How long has he been detailing, products, method?
Whats he normally charge?
That would be a good rate if it was me. My normal charges are $250.00.

He says he normally charges $230 and up for other customers. Hes a car fanatic as well and has done a lot of detailing work for other people. I have only seen his car and it is pristine.

He does have a machine (not sure what type). I basically told him I wanted him to remove all my swirl marks and clay bar my car.

Let me get more details...

your going to need more than clay bar and swirl remover....

exterior alone

wash
clay
polish
wax/sealant

interior

clean
vacume
protect
windows

all in all your looking at about 5-6 hrs of work depending on the level of paint correction needed....i am assuming its light, but moderate or worse will add atleast 1-2more hours...

if you can get all of that for 150 bucks, then do it....

Hey my friend isn't gonna be able to do it for me so I've been looking around.

Theres this guy who uses 3M products and foam pads on a UDM/PC. Any reason to stay away from this guy?
