How do you clean your buffing towels?

I never knew what to do with them. After waxing or sealing, and buffing the finish with cotton or mf, how do you clean them? I tried throwing them in the wash on a hot water cycle, and ended up with a wax ring at water level. Wife was not happy. What do you do with the applicators as well?

Also, if you use regular clothing detergent, you can throw in a cup of vinegar during the rinse cycle.

preferably microfiber wash. if not then you can buy detergent thats free of perfumes and coloring (just look on label and it will say clean and clear i think). make sure it doesnt have fabric softener otherwise your towels gona be useless. adding vinegar to rinse cycle will remove any detergent left on towels during wash.
you can soak towels as soon as you done with them overnight and then through them in wash. air dry them do not sure regular clothe dryer. at least not with hot air.

You actually have enough wax on the towels to get a ring?? You must be gobbing it on the car.

Anyway .. I presoak mine in a pail in water & blue Dawn Next day I drain the dawn water and wash them in the washer using blue dawn again. Recently I got a HE washer so now I presoak and wring out by hand and wash in the HE but I don't add soap I let the residual Dawn take care of it.

I dry on medium heat.

No fabric softener or Bounce sheets used .

Same, or some type of the same clothing soap... No need to buy those MF solutions.. just an added cost that I am sure is more of a placebo then anything.
