How to on Bumper?

I have many minor scratches on my bumper (98 Cl). Nothing deep but like someone took a wire cloth and rubbed it around.

How can I make it shine again? I would assume I can't buffer it.....

You can use a buffer .. I do all the time ... what one do you have .. if its a el'cheapo don't bother ..

i have a porter cable...but my bumper is plastic. will the buffer ruin the paint since its on the plastic or.....

It painted .. you'll be fine .. just don't get it too hot .. I polish them all the time .

Porter Cable makes a buffer that uses a buffing pad designed to take out scratches without rubbing off the paint. It's also designed to take out swirl marks in the clear coat.

Ahem..... the way you remove scratches is by lowering the level of the clear to lower than the bottom of the scratch ... so you ARE removing clear or paint.
