how badly can cats fck up my car paint?

I've got nothing against them but every damn morning there are dirty ass paw prints on my car. Worse is my car is WDP so it's glaring dirt and I'm usually in a hurry so I can't wipe it down. It's like 2 cats decided to have crazy monkey sex on my car. I hear them on the wooden fence, their claws must be pretty damn sharp. I'm wondering it if fcks up the clear coat.

The good news is that you do have WDP and not NBP. White paint hides a multitude of sins, and scratches are one of them. It's unlikely the monkey sex those two cats were having did much damage. If anything, some light scratching that you could probably remove by hand.

yea it won't be bad. You can buff it out. Just be thankful it's not chickens. They will really mess up your paint.

I feel your pain. The neighbor's cat somehow got stuck in our garage one night. I walked out into the garage the next day to find dirty paw prints and long scratches on the hood and trunk of my TL-S. Since I use antistatic QD's the paint is too slick for the cat to gain a foothold so out come the claws for traction. I could not catch the nice little kitty so I just opened the garage door and it ran back home. Lovely little kitty!!!

Cats are bastards but you have to cut them some slack. It is usually their owners that suck. Mine acts like a dog. As well does my dog.

Here is a video of a Tiger stealing a deer from crocs. Plz mute the music sucks.

keep the car clean and cover it when parked
Otherwise expect to spend some time with the buffer now and then
Cats love to sleep on and under the nice warm engine, and run off with claws extended when startled, up over the roof and down the trunk

Keep touch up paint in the toolbox~

whatever you do, dont scare the cats if you find them on your car.
remember those old cartoons where they get a running start before they go anywhere? yep it'll be like that on your paint lol.

get a small dog or something, that'll get rid of the problem.

No real damage minus a little blood splatter after you shoot them. Hose it off or use a little QD to remove it

i once had just finished detailing my kbp type s, polished and sealed with upp, car was soo damn slick! i left my garage open for a few minutes, went inside for a beer, came back out and noticed cat paw prints on my roof, followed them down the windshield, and then to the hood where to my suprise, it appeared when the cat hit the hood he/she started to slide and it looked like he/she was trying to put the brakes on the whole way down....

i had to get the udm back out and repolish the hood...the damn thing had left a set of scratches all the way down the hood...

I put mine up for the winter in a temp. garage with a car cover over the car. Cats were pissing on the cover so I did a couple things.

1) I laid a 16 x 20 tarp down and drove on it , put the car cover on, pulled the tarp up the sides/back and tied it off.
2) Rigged my small dog crate into a cat trap and did some relocation across the river after the cat owner wouldn't deal with it.

a little bit of non-acidic hot-sauce will work for cats! Place some on some wax-paper or cling wrap and wait for the cat to jump up. Cat get's the sauce on it's paws and then licks to clean it off!

maybe paintballs, easier clean up and less chance of taking off paint or breaking glass!

I've got the same problem, but with squirrels.

They're all over the underground parking garage. There's a pipe that runs over my parking spot, so squirrels will jump from there onto the roof of my car, slide down the windshield and onto the hood of my car. Ridiculously frustrating.

Best thing I was able to do, short of watching guard over the car with a BB gun, was apply as many coats as I can. 14 sitting on the roof currently. I hope it'll do at least some good.

oh the joys of having to park your car outside, in the elements...

i remember my previous car, 94 firehawk, had to be parked on the street in front of where i was living at the time. i went out of town for a few days, came back, hopped in the car, started it up.

i could hear this flapping noise from the engine bay, almost like the sound of a playing card attached to a bicycle wheel hitting the spokes.

i opened the hood, looked around for a minute, and that's when i noticed some sort of nest that had been built. it had been half destroyed by the drive belts at that point, but it was full of chicfila nugget cardboard boxes, sticks, acorns, and other various papers. something had been building a home in my engine. i suspect mice, crawling up from underneath the car. i could've used a cat at that point lol
