Hit a small pole

Hey everyone.

I recently hit or barely touched one of those safety poles at the gas station and the blue paint off of them went onto my front bumper. How'd I take it off? Should I use 1500/2500 grit and than buff with a compound like m105? No dents or any actual damage to bumper.

Thanks!

I would start with a wash and claybar. That should take a good amount off.

Use Rubbing and Polishing compound. Available at any parts store.. It will come off clean. Then wash and apply wax.. Should be good as new.

don't start off with sandpaper!

Use some automotive clay and lubricant. That should remove a majority of the paint transfer. Follow up with some polish like M205. If there is paint still left try again with the polish. If that does not help then step it up to a compound such as M105 and then follow up with M205.

Always start with the least aggressive method. Might mean more work upfront, but less headaches in the end run.
