help me please

i am not sure if i am posting this in the right section... anyways i have a seem to have collected some sap from a tree that over hangs from my neigbours drive way onto mine a leaks sap all of my 2000 tl and my dads 2005 maxima how do i get it off? i have gone threw a car wash.. and did washed it by hand and still cant get it off... its on my trunk and spoiler. i am afraid to use any sharp object to scrape it off as i might chip the paint please let me know if there is anything i can do

Definitely don't scrape. I'd recommend a bug & tar remover, and perhaps a clay bar. Hopefully you'll catch it before anything is etched into the paint. If that happens, you'll need a pretty aggressive polish - something to discuss with a professional detailer if you're uncomfortable doing yourself.

After removing, the best way to protect your finish is to apply frequent topcoats - sealants are generally more durable than waxes - and to get fresh sap off as quickly as possible. Good luck!

darn edit timed out...

if you have a light coloured car, try to find somewhere else to park.....sap can stain permanently as well..

i am a noob when it comes to this stuff only 19 and lots to learn about acura cars.. thanks for all the feed back

If its hard, and small (LMFAO, xstin, no smart ass remarks....)) go with some detailing clay (Fine grade) If its still somewhat soft, like you can put your fingernail in it, use a citrus cleaner or even mineral spirits (aka 3M tar/adhesive remover).

I normally use mineral spirits and clay like exceldetail said, it almost always works. Good luck!
