Help Me.

As I got older I learned better car washing tecniques. However I am by no means a know it all. That being said, I need help with where is a good hand wash place in the union county area. I noticed myself being more particular after I got my first black car. The towels these places use are not microfiber, they scrub to clean up after the wash people....I find myself staking out a car wash before I go in. I had a hand car wash I used to go to on RT 22...but I think they scratched my cousins type s...on his hood (sucks for him..lol..I am not going back there). What should I do? Am I being anal?

I also always take my car to the self wash bays to get any loose dirt off before I go to the car wash......habbit I got into with the winters around here. give me some suggestions...Thanks.

IMO, Do it yourself is way much better than any guy who works at any hand-wash place. You have to realize that the person who works at any hand-wash place has one goal and only one goal: quickly wash your car as soon as possible and collect your money so the next car can be wash and collect more money! None of the hand-wash place will provide good quality service except if you pay big buck for professional detailer.

Have you considered using Optimum No Rinse Wash and Shine? All it takes is a couple buckets, sheepskin washmit (or two) and Waffle Weave drying towel. Maybe $30.00 and your good to go for about a year. How much do you spend on Auto washes in a year? Plus you get to complain to yourself if it didnt turn out right!! Add some ProtectAll or Aqua Wax to the mix, (not literally) after a wash and you may be able to extend your wash periods.........

Thanks for the suggestions. I know doing it myself is the best thing....but you guys have 60 degree weather in December and Janurary. I don't know anyone who washes their car in 20 degree weather....I am by no means a wuss...but dayum it gets cold here.

Thanks again, I will look into ordering some stuff from those links.
