Help a detailer Newbie

Hey Guys

Ok I recently moved to a house with an actual garage, so I am ready to wash and wax my cars ()

HOWEVER im a total idiot when it comes to detailed detailing car care.

I can wash the car without problem, but waxing is a bitch

I have zaino z2 and z5...the prep and the wax...but i dont think im using it correctly. The directions say use "dime sized portion on aplicator pad", but when I do that and start to apply on the car, after a couple of swipes the pad looks and feels dry...am I not applying enough, or am I just paranoid and the shit is really there or what?

I did it once on my cl, but I probably used waaaay too much, but it did look A LITTLE nicer than usual

I know I should get clay bar, but can someone give me step-by-step instructions with amounts used? Preferably with pictures? The zaino website directions were a bit too vague for me

Its hard to wash/wax a car when you have a car port with no hose outlet for 100 ft :fingerfawk:

that site is good but what about specifically using zaino? Both my cars are white, so when I wipe with the applicator, nothings shows...is this normal? Do I have fucked up aplicators?

I have a white car and Zaino is really hard to see where you've applied it already unless you get at the perfect angle. I just remember what areas I've done and move around the car in the same pattern every time. With ZFX by the time I am done with the last panel, the first panel is ready to be buffed off.

I use Meguiars even though I can't spell it. I thought you just apply it to one specific area at a time and wait a few minutes then buff it out, not the whole car at once?

i use this wax called eagle1...it's a spray type of wax...comes in a red spray bottle......after you wash your car.....rinse and leave the car wet....get a chamois....just spray where ever you want to wax and wipe dry section by section....wipe until completely dry...and bam...you're done....comes out very shiny.....
