Question Help with Clear Bra & rubber marks

I have a clear bra on my silver 07 TLS since I mainly drive highways in Texas. I have had some bad luck lately and twice now I have hit truck retreads within 4000 miles and only owning the car 2 months. The body panels, urethane and paint are not affected but I cannot seem to get the black rubber marks off my clear bra. They came off clean from the paint with a little TLC. It a Clearshield or Baerkat brand of clear bra if that matters.

Any ideas on how to get rid of the rubber blackness on a clear bra?

All clear bras are made of relatvely the same materials. Try some WD 40 or paint cleaner, shouldnt be a problem at all.........

If that doesn't work, you might need to use a PC and a minor polish. I usually can get stains off with a little elbow grease by hand with scratch-x or an all in one product.

If all fails, and if it's bothering you..then just replace that peice.

I've used fine grade clay on my PPF on some areas without any problems but I would be a bit apprehensive using a PC on PPF nor would I use an abrasive polish. I would try the WD40 as Patrick mentioned. IMO a plastic polish like Plexus or Meguiars Plastx would be the safer and probably the wiser choice. Since these products are also protectants, you wouldn't need to follow with a wax/sealant. 303 is another product that can be used on PPF. If you have any doubts, I would contact your installer and ask for his recommendations.

Hawhyen51, I have a question on this: You treat your PPF totally different than the paint? I.e. no wax/sealant on the PPF, and using only Plexus (or something similar)? Seems like a complicated process, that may leave the two differnet materials looking different (i.e. gloss, etc).

Not really a complicated process, just another step using a different product. After all, PPF is applied on top of the finish and is somewhat of a plastic product so why not use a plastic cleaner/protectant for it. Besides, I alternate every other month with UPPS and use AW after washes. I have not noticed any discernable differences between both surfaces.
