Angry Has anybody heard of.......

Scratch Leveler product made by Plasti Kote. It helps reduce touch paint without affecting the OE paint or clear. I used to buy it from Pep Boys but for some unknow reason I cant find the product anymore. DOes anyone know if there is any product on the market that is similar to the Scratch Leveler. Its a clear chemical. If anybody knows about the product could you tell me what chemical is being used or what product out there will work as it.

Thanks

I think it's the same as Langka. It uses chemicals to break down the touch up paint. I've resorted to wet sanding instead because I've tried Langka numerous times and the chemical seems to break the paint down too much.

There are times when there's just a nick of paint left from the touch up and I would carefully try to remove that little nick, but end up removing a lot more which ended up in uneven-ness. Maybe someone might have better techniques with these chemical paint leveler, but wet sand with 1000 grit and polish has not failed me, not even once.

Ive been wanting to try langka, but havent been able to find it in stores and im too lazy to order it online. The blob eliminator they sell sounds like the scratch leveler you're describing. Many people have told me to just go with the wet sanding method but i'm too scared of seriously messing up my paint
