Hand Wash ?

Would you take your TSX to one of those (expensive) hand-wash car wash places (Named Splash in my area) ? It's hand-wash alright but in an assembly line fashion.
Is it safe from scrathes etc ?

No one will take as good a car of your car as yourself. Having said that it's somewhat safer to entrust your car to a set a maleable hands vs. rigid autowash unkept brush.

It comes down to if you trust your car's finish to the same wash mitten that was used on all previous cars? I sure don't. They probably used the same mitten on everything...

Just go to one of those places that has a DIY hose. Get something like this and wash it carefully. I'm sure others can recommend other products such as soaps, and drying materials or methods.
Don't forget the windows

Sure, but full serve is superior to self-serve any day of the week.
