Armour All original -- I'm surprised.

I use simple green for the clean and Zaino or Eagle One Wet for the dressing. I guess I'm doing OK.

I prefer the Zaino actually over the wet look of the Eagle One. I really buy the Eagle One for the included tire detailing sponges and little squirt bottle.

#3 Eimann Fabrix "high intensity"

All I use to clean the wheels. Gets everything off. I've used it on my old Integra and it took years of brake dust off the wheels. Also gets off tar and bug guts.

As for Armor All....I guess we know who paid for that report.

What no "Greased lightning"? That is the best wheel cleaner. Guess it needs to be specified as such.

Good stuff, but the 303 product also does a good job and isn't even mentioned...

I'd like to know what a perfect tire gloss is with all of the variations is durability, protection, and gloss levels...

used A2Z, it's good stuff, my wheels are in horrible shape as I don't clean them often cause they are a real dark color. This stuff took off a good amount of grime. Not a lot but more then simple green has done. Afterwords I clayed and wax 2 wheels real well. The other side is gonna take a lot more elbow grease

And what was the criterion used to place it there?

I like the stuff for "low luster" days.

I probably have too many tire glosses -- and can't make up my mind.

Regardless of what they say, the 303 is great stuff for UV and rubber protection.

I remember sending them a e-mail in their pre-press days when they said Zaino wasn't too hot...

Here is the old post when the site was: http://www.thewaxtest.com/ (the link will redirect you to the gurureports website).

http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...Zaino+and+test

I actually remembering sending a couple of e-mails about trying some other tests related to logevity and grouping products by type.

The guy thanked me for not threatening to waste him/”mess ‘em up” (as many Zaino enthusiasts had done via e-mail -- and other means.)

A link to the early days of guru reports (AKA "The Wax Test")

Detailing it's an addiction...

OK - let me play the turd here . . ..

I really think you should remove the listing . . . I know they feel strongly about people doing that , . . .. and I dont think its right . ..

Anyways - I dont use the Zaino tire gloss - I use 303.
I just prefer the look - although similar to each other.

One other consideration is this . .tire compounds will affect the reults.

I have brand new - huge 30" x 13" wide tires on my Camaro . . used a product (Stoners More Shine Less Time) on them - and got great early results. I have used it on other tires on my other cars and had GREAT results for over 2 weeks on them. The new tires wore off after one major rain storm . . .

Try out different items if you dont get the results you seek...
And I was surprised as anyone at the Armor All thing . ..

Homer2,

You are certainly entitled to your opinion about having the thread removed.

However, if anything, I wouldn't be surprised if MORE people actually buy the periodical/review based on the information provided. What is posted here is not a complete copy of their comments and review. I believe that simply posting what they found as their results is NOT an issue. If that were the case, people would NEVER be able to post excerpts from car magazines, Consumers Reports and other periodicals.

The analogy would be similar to someone listing the 10-best selected by "Car and Driver" and then having someone complain that "it isn't fair."

If the entire publication was dumped via scanner on the site, that would be an entirely different matter.

This comes down to a matter of "fair use."

BTW, there are a lot of products that I have that were not in that top ten list and they are all nice products. So, opinions do vary…

I'm fully w/ Eric on this, and as I've stated in everything i've mentioned this review in, it is a great read and filled w/ ton of info beyond the actual list. I can't tell you how many times i've read both front to back.
