Gum in carpet
Co-worker (who has been taken out back and shot) got a big glob of gum on my carpeted floor mat (not all season rubber).
Any good ways to get gum out of the carpeting material?

Try a citrus cleaner. Those oils knoch the chit right out of it. Then a APC and wet vac to remove the citrus oils. You could also try ice. Get 'er hard, and break it up/out.
Then go buy some Weathertechs or Husky liners......

Used the upside-down can of air trick from Autopia to freeze it. Worked like a charm!

I needed immediate gratification, and the can of air was handy and no wetness inducing factor!

Just a hint on the canned air .
Get the shop vac and a spoon .. turn the can upside down .. shop vac on ... shoot the gum then scrape it hard with the spoon and vac up the gum dust .. if you aggitate with your finger you can ger frost bit. .. I know .
Any liquid cleaners can just smear it around and leave a residue you have trouble getting out.
