Grease marks in headliner

I did a search and found a few old threads about this topic. Since they are a bit dated, here's a new thread. Was wondering if there has been any in techniques.

So I brought my 07 CR-V to the dealer to get the sunshade fix. I used it for the first time this year this past weekend. The sunroof closed without issue, but the sunshade wouldn't close all the way. I took it to the dealer and they fixed it. Apparently one of the clips had fallen off.

But back to the problem at hand. I went to go pick it up this morning and I noticed that there are grease marks all around the sunroof. I counted 5, 2 of which were very noticeable because they were black.

How can I get these marks out? I'm afraid of bringing it back to them and they will half ass the cleaning job and make the situation worst.

I hate seeing my car in such a dirty condition... =/

Mix up a 15:1 ratio of water/APC. Dip MF in mix, wring out, and blot stains until soiled area is clean. Saturate a MF with plain water, and reblot to reduce APC mixture even further. Then wipe/blot dry with a dry MF.

Thanks Excel! I was hoping you would answer.

Any APC you would recommend I use?

I would have to really dig around. I might have a bottle of Lysol or Fantastik under the kitchen sink.

I wouldnt go with the Lysol.
The Fantastik should be fine, but like I said, dilute it.
Do not saturate the headliner either!

hey excel. i just want to let you know that you are a GOD amongst men. i followed your instructions and all of the grease spots came out without issue. two of the stubborn ones required a second go through. but they did come out. can't tell that there was ever any grease spots.

as a side note, your formula mix also got out an ice cream stain i found, a few clay marks on the back of the drivers seat and brightened up my arm rests. I will use it more often! thanks again!!!
