gorilla glue all over my front bumper

So I used some gorilla glue to install my accord fogs last weekend and it got on my hands, hands touched the bumper. Now I have finger prints of glue all over my bumper and it wont come off.

Any suggestions on safe products to use here? I used some heavy compound and that helped, but I dont want to hurt my clear coat too much.

maybe some Goo Gone? It does remove the adhesive left behind by body side moldings...

tried that and wd40 already, didnt do anything. this is a much stronger glue than the 3m adhesive or anything like that. Its completey hard. I heard acetone might work, but I think that will ruin the paint.

Acetone won't really ruin the paint, I used it to remove my badging on my car and it took all of the adhesive off.

I'd just recommend taking a buffer w/ some polishing compound to it afterwards, inevitably there's going to be swirl marks on your bumper.

if you have a dremel and can take off the front bumper its not hard, just tedious.

back on topic: So other than acetone, any other suggestions that wont ruin the paint?

Some of the guys in the Wash and Wax section may have some ideas. They deal a lot with such issues. Good luck and keep the gorilla away from your TL-S.

I don't have a suggestion for you but keep the acetone away from the paint .. you may not see problems right away but may see clear failure down the road.

Gorilla glue is Gorilla tough I can tell you that much, stuff dries hard like a rock. Have you tried something like mineral spirits?
