Mine's not quite "portable" (hehe)...but I use a 5 gallon ShopVac since it is a wet/dry vac. This helps me when shampooing the interior cuz after letting the carpet air dry as much as possible, I use a quick-over with the wet/dry vac to suck up any excess water. This helps it dry faster.

It may not be portable, but I only clean the car in the garage anyway and not when I'm sitting at stoplights

I think my parents bought it for like $1700 when it first came out. I can't fake, it has like twice the power of a wet/dry vac and the home appeal and attachments. All the attachments are coated rubber tubing and polished steel.

I swear, I sucked the water out of a cracker once

Here is the vac: dubbed RAINBOW
