Start mild. Warm/hot soapy water and a clean cloth. See if you can pick it off the leather.

As NSXNEXT suggests start off mild and work your way up
5:1 solution (or stronger) of Woolite™ and warm water
1:1 (or stronger) distilled water / isopropyl alcohol

I justed good old fashsion rubenalcohol (isoprpyl) and cotton balls.

A little elbow grease and quick wipe off of the alcohol did the trick

Make sure you follow it up with some leather conditioner.
