Can you be more specific about the product. When I first read it, sounded like windshield protection. After reading it again, I think you're referring to some kind of paint protection. A manufacturer's name would be helpful.

Are you referring to a paint sealant or actual glass anti-chip products.

sounds like a marketing name and not an actual description of the product. i don't know of any possible way to coat something in glass (without pouring molten glass over something)...and even then it wouldn't be very protective since it would crack/shatter easily.

do you have a product name or website?

It's definetly paint protection option offered by a dealer or service provider and probably for a substantial amount. It's probably similar to products/services like Diamond Kote and offer pretty much the same claims. You would still have to maintain the vehicle and apply a diluted solution of the actual product from time to time. The product will not remove any surface defects so the vehicle has to be pristine prior to application, otherwise it's all for naught. It's claim for durability and shine remains to be seen. I have not heard or seen a product that will last longer than 6-8 months or retain the same shine without re-application. And if there was one, I think a whole number of people would be using it. IMO, DIY and save yourself some bucks.
