Front bumper scratches - Advice please?

Hi All,

front bumper of my TL nicked my other car !
Dear wife was trying to park it at the side of her accord and could not judge the distance .

Here is the pic :

Can you please let me know if I can take it of it by myself or need a professional?

Its a 2008 TL, CBP color.

Thanks a ton in advance.

MIK.

you might be able to buff out most of it. Maybe some touch up paint on whats left?

I agree. A random orbital buffer, some polishing compound and then some wax will do wonders for a lot of scuffs and scrapes.

Looks like it "may" come out. Can you tell if it's just paint transfer on top? You can try some regular car wash and some good old elbow grease to see if there is any improvement.

a light scratch remover/polish should get those out completely and you won't even need to use touchup paint! it looks like paint transfer so don't worry to much. If you don't have a Porter Cable Polisher (PC) then don't buy a cheap one from walmart, just buy a few good MicroFiber Towels (not the cheap ones either) and you can polish out the scratches by hand, but it'll require a bit of elbow grease.

Swipe it with laquer thinner and it will come right off. I do paint work, and today's clears can handle laquer thinner.
