Found a great way to remove powdercoat
Long story short, I am test fitting a TypeS intake manifold on my 99TL and the intake manifold cover plate was all scratched up. I wanted to repaint it but first I needed to remove the powdercoat.
I've had cylinder head covers sandblasted to remove the PC, but it's a mess. I read on the web that gasket remover works well so I gave it a shot.
Wow
it ate that gray powdercoat right off. Took a few coats of it to get it completely off but it works great.
Sorry, no pics of the IM cover. Here's what I used.
