Fixing a scratch

Hey i got a pretty deep scratch on the front passenger corner of my NBP 04TL. My question is: has anybody used Dupli-color scratch fix? They claim to have a 100% color match, and i checked and they do have Acura NBP scratch fix touchup available. I would prefer not to bring it into a body shop and pay 300 to fix a scratch 2 months after i got the car. I just wanted to know if anybodys used it and if theyve had any problems/success, or if anybody has used any other products that they got good results with. BTW, its too deep for scratch remover or anything like that, i already tried using rubbing compound.

thanks

Try this Lanka Paint Chip Repair. I have never used it myself but the PT cruiser people love it.

langka sucks balls.... trust me... ive used it and no matter what anyone says, its a useless product. It WILL NOT make the scratches go away like the website claims - nothing close to it. it will just look sloppy

go buy some touchup paint from the dealership. I believe it is available in a pen style paint stick. Apply it, let dry and then buff it out some with a light compound. You will still see it but not as bad as it was before. Remember several light layers will look better than one heavy layer of paint.

If you want it to look nice again, I would suggest taking it to a professional detailer who can clean the area, touch it up, wet sand the masked off area, compound, polish and wax it. Shouldn't cost you $300. Should charge about one hours work depending on their rates. It will take longer since the paint needs to dry before any sanding, etc. but they may have a heat lamp to cure the paint faster. Good luck.
