First Place Finish Care System

First Place Finish Care System
I am about to purchase a 2007 TSX. The dealer offered a First Place Finish Car Care System finish that includes (as being read from the brochure):
(1) Exterior Protection
-- Forms a clear, hard shell
-- Seals out oxidation, pollutants, and uv rays
-- Instantly protects and beautifies
(2) Interior Protection with Banyol
-- Never needs reapplying
-- Repels water-based and oil-based spills
-- Reduces everyday wear and tear
(3) Vinyl and Leather Conditioner
-- Conditions and protects vinyl and leather
-- Helps prevent fading and cracking
-- Doesn't leave a greasy film
I didn't get a quote on the price, but if anyone has a similar product, can you verify or refute the validity of the product? Are these treatments necessary?
I was also offered the clear cra bra. My theory is this -- the dealer should add this free of charge, otherwise I will continuously return for my grille to be fixed under warranty. Thus, it would be cheaper for the dealer to pay for the bra now and me not return for the replacement grille(s). Again, am I wrong? Thanks for all your help -- it's my first post.

They will more then likely charge you about $700.00 !
The Polymer protection they will provide is more then likely, equivalent to some of the items that can be found online (Including my store). Spend that $700.00 at my store and I wll personally drive it out to you! (Im kidding ok? But Ill ship for free and even throw in a goody or two or three!)
The PPF is a good idea, but I would check prices for that from some experienced applicators in your area. All they will do is send it out anyway. Im sure you could save 25% having the same people that do it for the dealer, do it for you.
The interior products are more then likely a 303 Fabric Guard or 3M Scotchguard product. Again, do it yourself for 70% less......
Be prepared to be bombarded with replies.....

Here's an article I like to refer to from cnnmoney.com titled "Extended warranties, rust-proofing, Scotchgard: Is this stuff worth it?" As far as I'm concerned, NO, it's not worth it.
As far as the PPF, it's only applied to the painted surfaces unless you have a custom install (which will cost more).
