what is the normal shelf life of upp with polycharger...i have been hearing some interesting thoughts on this....some of which i dont like hearing for such an expensive product....

 

Out of curiosity, what have you been hearing? I've had my UPP for over 3 years and it still performs just as great as I first purchased/tried it.

 

i have been hearing the polycharged stuff only lasts a year...

 

The Poly Charger additive you buy separately for water or oil based sealants has a shelf life of about 10 days! I have product about a year older then Denzils still working perfectly. I even have separated (returned) UPP that was like cottage cheese, that for some reason is in perfect working order now (Nice thin viscocity, yet creamy as ever). Im no chemist, but I dont think you have anything to worry about. Most of us reapply protection before its even necessary. But at your inquisition, I will forward your concern to Four Star.

 

cool, thanks for checking into it for us upp users....i know that the upp was reformulated for the addition of the polycharger, but i want to know that it wont go bad after a year as there is no way i can use a bottle in a year, maybe 3 or 4 years, but not a year....
