Engine bay detailing
Hi, does anyone have recommendations on reputable consumer grade products and tools for cleaning and detailing the engine bay? I would like to maintain and protect the parts and things in the engine bay (metal, plastic, rubber, wiring pieces, etc). Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I also do not like products that make things look nice and clean when they are really not. Those glossy spray-on products.
This engine bay is 14 years old...

Where to get Facto AT30? What's the recommended dilution ratio based on your experience? Do you use any protectants for any parts in the engine bay?

Facto AT30 is a water based degreaser. I have used it since 1986 to get the chain lube off the back wheel on my motorcycle. Now I use it for everything like getting the grease off a range hood. I came across it when we washed the club aircraft where I used to instruct. A great product but you might have trouble getting it. Some of the Porsche members all over the US had issues getting a 20L pail (smallest you can get).
It can be diluted to 200:1 but I use it straight since I put a couple of ounces in a small cup and dip my paintbrush or toothbrush into it.
Not really.
