Effect of polish on the black rubber areas?
When waxing the car with Zaino (or any other polish that dries to a haze for that matter), is it necessary to use masking tape to mask off the black rubber areas of the car? For example, the black strips that run almost the entire length of the car across the top?
I ask because I remember bad experiences with a previous car that had black plastic parts. I inevitably slopped a little polish on it, didn't notice it until it dried to a haze, and then damned if I couldn't get it off of the black plastic. It looked horrible.
I certainly want to avoid that possibility with my new car!
Please excuse my sudden flurry of (probably noobie) questions here, but I'm just trying to get this right the first time. Thanks.

I guess I found my answer:

They're using a Porter Cable to apply the polish, and I'm just planning to do it manually, but the concept holds true regardless.
