Drying

I have a black tsx and I use meguiars gold class car wash to wash it but the drying stage of the wash is killing me. I just cant dry properly. my dad doesnt have time to teach me and i doubt he even knows how to dry a car. I just cant dry the car, something always goes wrong and i end up rerinsing the car and starting over. im getting really desperate to the point where i am about to give my car over to other people to clean for me. Can someone please list me some drying products (liek towels, chamois, etc. that i can find at my local autozone) and the proper way to dry a car?

I use a water magnet to do a majority of the drying. I then follow it up with a micro-fiber towel and some instant detailer. The instant detailer isn't necessary, but it adds minimal work. Keep the towel clean and wipe (don't buff) gently in long smooth motions and you should be good.

hmm sounds interesting, where can i find this "water magnet." ive never seen it at autozone though meguiar lists autozone as a dealer of its products. maybe i never looked close enough. i have a micro-fiber towel but that thing gets wet fast and just smears water. so thats a problem too. i think im gonna kill myself. owning one of the most beautiful cars is worthless if its covered in water marks.

The easiest way to dry a car is to let water sheet over the surface. Remove any attachments from the end of the hose and let the water freeflow onto the surface of the vehicle. Residual and standing water will be minimized. The preferred method is to use a WW drying towel like Meguiars Water Magnet. Lay it on the residual water and allow the towel to absorb as much water. Use the blotting method for the sides. Continue process untill all traces of water is removed from the surface.

I picked mine up at Pep Boys and have been using it for nearly a year. It is an awesome product. At least at Pep Boys, it is in the same aisle as wax applicators and other detailing accessories.

The waffle weave will get 99% of the water off - you can "ring it out" just like a chamois. The micro-fiber is just for touch-ups, drying the windows (usually don't have to use window cleaner) and catching any drips (e.g. from the side mirrors). It will work great for that and protect your car's finish from scratching.

Use the waffle weave towel like everyone said, plus use a quick detailer, like Poorboys spray and wipe. Any spots you have will go away using this...
