Dry dusting the Navi Screen

Hello,

I was just curious if it's bad to dry dust a Navigation screen? I tend to use the toggle switch on my Navi unit, so my screen doesn't really get "dirty". I more or less just accumulate a lot of dust on the screen. I've been using a damp microfiber cloth to clean it, but I was thinking that I could probably just lightly dust the screen off with a dry microfiber towel. Would this potentially open me up to scratching the screen? Any thoughts?

If your using a very good quality thick nap M/F it won't scratch the screen .. you just make a light pressure pass over it. I keep one in my door pocket all the time .. its misted with the Woolite mix and even tho dry its a dust magnet.

On my navi screen in my TL, I clean it with a very lightly damp MF towel, then dry it off, then apply some 303 aerospace (lightly) and wipe off the excess. This keeps the dust off.

But, what would something like this cost to replace?

If you are talking of the TL, that is not a plastic cover, its the resistive touchscreen control which takes you finger and converts them into movements. Also you can't buy them, you need to buy that screen for around 3K.
