Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi,
yesterday, while my wife was driving our Honda Odyssey, it was raining and there was some hail falling down as well. we noticed this morning that the front windshield had scratches (2). it's not cracked. but it's a fairly long scratch which appear to be about 10 inches long. it's not real deep and major but you can still see it pretty from driver's seat.

is there anything i can do to get rid of this? or do i have to relace the windshield eventually?

Pics would help. Best bet would be to consult a windshield repair shop and see what can be done. I believe if the length of the scratch is in excess of 6", it can't be repaired. I maybe wrong, tho. Also consider replacement if it obstructs/hinders the drivers view.

 

Can you feel the scratch with your fingernail? If so, I think that will determine if they can fix it. I know there may be some glass repair outfits that might "fill" the scratch, not sure though.
