Detailing Question

If you use a wax cleaner and then use clay bar due to roughness on the paint, will the claybar take off the wax cleaner from the paint? Also, If you use a glaze/sealant on the car after using a clay bar/wax cleaner, is it necessary to wax on top of the sealant?

Son,

You should clay first, then apply paint cleaner. Reason being, the purpose of a clay bar is to remove unseen paint contaminates and not to spread them around on your paint.

To answer your direct question, no. A clay bar does not remove wax/cleaner/etc

Sincerely,

um, correction please kind sir . ..

a clay bar will remove regular wax from a car -
it will also remove some polymer layers from a car . . .

it is not the weapon of choice to remove wax, but it will do it . . .

oh, and you want to remove a wax cleaner anyways . . . .
if i understand what you mean by wax cleaner - or do you mean cleaner wax - which is sort of a two-in-one product. It cleans the old wax off and adds a sort of freash coat as it goes . . . usually with chemical, petro-solvents or abrasives . . .

If you are looking to get things done quick with products that are more like a few items in one deal...go with Medallion

1. Clay Bar
2. Medallion Premium Paint Cleaner
***like a cleaner and fine cut wax***

3. Medallion Premium Paint Protection
***like a show car galze and sealant***

This will keep things to a min., or if you aren't afraid of some elbow grease, expand the products of course
