Detailer's Domain: Trashed 08 Cayenne

What was done -
Exterior

- Wheels were prepped with Sonax Wheel Cleaner and cleaned up with various brushes
- Tires were spritzed down with Adam’s All Purpose Cleaner and washed down
- Wheel wells were cleaned up
- Pre Washed with Car Pro Iron X
- Wash down and rinsed
- Door jambs were cleaned up
- Clayed
- Dried
- Tires dressed
- Masking
- 3 Step Paint Correction
- Inspection with Fenix, 3m Sun Gun, Infratech, and natural sunlight
- Last Step – Menzerna Power Lock
- Rubber and Plastics Treated
- Exterior windows and mirrors cleaned and sealed
- Exhaust tips cleaned
- Windows were clayed, cleaned, and sealed

Engine
-Cleaned
- Dressed

Interior
-Leather Cleaned and conditioned
-Dash and plastics cleaned
-Vacuumed

Interior Clean Up
Before




Interior was vacuumed with the Metro Vac. Adam's Glass Cleaner was used on the interior glass. Sonax Dashboard Cleaner for the plastics and Sonax Leather Foam on the leather.

Adam's All Purpose
was used on the engine to cut the dust, grime, and dirty. The Uber Boar's Hair Brush was used to agitate the heavier dirty and grime.

Adam's In and Out was used to dress it up.

Pre Soaked with Car Pro Iron X, IronX did a great job stripping iron deposits off the car.

Really great job! The owner must have freaked out when he saw the finished car.

It looked like someone sanded the paint in the before shots. Kudos!

Wow, you weren't kidding when you said it was trashed.

Question: Wouldn't the clay have gotten rid of any iron in the clear? How do you know when to use Iron X and when it isn't necessary?
