Detailer's Domain: BMW X5 M New Car Prep

The New BMW X5 M is a beast!

Take a look:

What was done -
Exterior

- Wheels were cleaned with Sonax Wheel Cleaner
- Tires were spritzed down with P21S Total Autowash and washed down
- Wheel wells were spritzed down with P21S Total Autowash and washed down
- Wash down and rinsed
- Door jambs were cleaned up
- Clayed
- Dried
- Paint inspected and measured
- Tires dressed with einszett Vinyl Rubber Care
- Inspection with Fenix, 3m Sun Gun, Infratech, and natural sunlight
- Menzerna Power Lock
- Rubber and Plastics Treated
- Exterior windows and mirrors cleaned and sealed
- Exhaust tips cleaned

Interior Detail

- All interior surfaces cleaned and protected, including glass, and all
vinyl/plastic surfaces.
- Carpets and upholstery vacuumed.

Uber Blue Clay Bar Kit
Uber Yellow Wash Sponge
Menzerna Power Lock
Adam's Glass Sealant
einszett Vinyl Rubber Care

These wheels do the car justice, the stock X5M look terrible. Interesting colors coming off those wheels and tires lol! Oh, and, do I spy Q7 wheels in the second pic?

Phil, you guys always do a great job on your cars. I really enjoy reading your write-ups! I love the interior. I'm not so hot on the exterior looks (but that's just me), but that thing IS a little beast, for sure.

I was wondering too...

SONAX Wheel Cleaner sprays on as a thick, flourescent grean foam. As the cleansing foam begins to work into the dirt and grime, the formula begins to turn red. The red coloration is the SONAX Wheel Cleaner forming a bond to the sintered iron on the wheel and changing its state to a water soluble complex for easy removal.
