Detailed: Black 1995 BMW 525i

My friend bought this car back in April and I noticed right off the bat that it had some moderate swirls and buffer burn. He wanted me to help him make it look good but we had a bit of a spat as to how to get this done. He didn't want to do it himself, claiming a lack of knowledge (true) but didn't have the money to pay me to do it. So we compromised. He paid for the equipment I would need and I gave him a tutorial. He did 95% of the work and I think not only is he wiser for the experience but now has a new appreciation for the difficulty this kind of work inherently brings with it.

No before photos...sorry. Just trust me that it needed some serious work.

And the owner...happy with the work HE did.

Looks really good! So what kind of equipment did you end up getting? The owner sure got a great deal from you, hehe.

Sorry guys...haven't had time (or money) to pick up the Makita or the pads yet. It'll probably be a while still as I have things to take care that are a bit more pressing.

Process:

Wash:
Griot's Car Wash and MF Pads
Wheel Cleaner and Wheel Mitts
Dry with MF Waffle Weave Towel

Clay:
Griot's Clay & Speed Shine

Polish & Wax:
Griot's Machine Polish 2 applied with Random Orbital
Removed with Microfiber Cloths
Applied Wax (Meguiar's Crystal Carnauba) with Red Wax Pad
Allowed to harden for two hours
Removed with microfiber cloths
