Detailed 3G TL

Finally had the chance to detail my TL after ordering my products. This is my second time using a DA polisher and after a lot of research I ended up doing the job with:

- PC7424XP
- DI Clay bar
- LC Orange w/ Menz 203
- LC Black w/ Menz SF4500
- Opti Seal

Also vacuumed/wiped down interior and leather conditioned seats. Shined tires, and used Black on Black for wheel well to darken them.

Overall I was satified with the results, however, I still see minor imperfections. I guess practice will make perfect. Thanks for viewing!

BTW what product do you guys use for the exhaust tips??

Here are my after shots!

Collection!

Hood didn't finish as nice as I would like...

Trunk looks so good!

I use brasso and fine steel wool for my exhaust tips and they work great. Some also use bar keeper's friend

I've used Mothers Mag & Aluminum cleaner. Others have used Eagle One Never Dull.

Looks good, optimum metal polish is great for the exhaust.

You can use just about anything on the exhaust tips as long as you use 0000 steel wool with it. I personally use Optimum Power Clean. Just be sure to use some sort of metal sealant like Poorboys Wheel Sealant or something afterwards to help with the carbon buildup.

Ezol, your Type S looks good-good job! I can't tell from the pictures, but a NBP needs nicely done tires as well. From your shots, it looks like you could possibly use some.

Btw, i forgot to mention. Be sure to rub the steel wool in the same direction as the brushed look on the tips.
