Detail nightmare...

So today I decided to wash, clay, polish, and wax my two week old car. Midway through polishing the car my neighbor's kid decided he wanted to cut the lawn. There was a huge duststorm and guess which way the wind was blowing? That's right, in my direction! I wanted to kill him!!

i think its best if you polish in an enclosed area anyway so there is no direct sunlight. why polish a two week old car anyway??

Polishing can only enhance its current condition, unless it was done two weeks ago?

Oh I was gonna say if the dealer polished the car you almost certainly would need to correct all the swirls the dealership detail shop probably put in it ha..ha..!

My dealer put some type of polish on my car, but it doesn't feel super slick. I only know because they left behind white residue since I picked my car up during a rainy time and they probably sped through the process of actually detailing it.

Chances are the dealership didn't use a "polish" and the white residue is from a wax or protectant.
